Making masks

Posted on April 7, 2020 by laura.noueihed

Now that Maya’s done with school, we decided to make some masks to protect us if we go out. We don’t actually go out at all anymore—only Nabil goes to the grocery store. But we do anticipate eventually having to get on a plane to get to Virginia.

There’s no shortage of masks here yet, but in Dubai they just instituted a rule that everyone must wear one if they leave their home. So there could be a shortage soon.

We had already sold our sewing machine when we decluttered over the summer, so we had to sew by hand. But it was nice working on a project together and actually getting it finished.
